For Reflection

He Gives Power to the Faint

He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
Scripture

Isaiah 40:29

The prophet does not promise that the faint will never grow faint. He promises that the One who made the ends of the earth does not weary, and that His strength is given — not lent — to those who wait. Waiting is not idleness. It is the posture of a people who have learned where their help comes from, and who refuse to run ahead of it.

Whatever this week has asked of you, bring the tiredness here. The eagle does not beat its wings against the wind; it rests upon it, and rises.
